The Most Reverend Socrates B. Villegas, D.D. Archbishop of Lingayen-Dagupan and President of the Catholic Bishop’s Conference of the Philippines raised to the order of priesthood ten (10) Recollect religious deacons during the ordination ceremonies held at Our Lady of Consolation Parish, Mira-Nila Homes, Q.C. on the solemnity of the Immaculate Conception (Dec 8, 2015).
In a very inspiring homily Bishop Soc, as he is fondly called, challenged the new ordinands to be the walking sacrament of God’s holiness, love, and reconciliation. He likewise urged them to fear nothing but sin and separation from their beloved God. Like the good Shepherd, the bishop offered a foreboded message—when the glisters of priesthood would have faded, and responsibilities would have become a burden, and holiness would have stopped to become a goal to achieve—the good Bishop, their ordaining prelate, would be willing to offer his time to listen and dialogue so they could journey back to the life of commitment and consecration, this day, they received.
Those blessed and raised to the order of priesthood are the following: Fr. Ken Oliver Say Lao, OAR (Candelaria, Quezon Province), Fr. Mark Ryan Tibulan Prado, OAR (Lezo, Aklan), Fr. Nimrod Quidato Launio, OAR (Santa Barbara, Iloilo), Fr. Enrico Solon Nacorda, OAR (Sundlon I, Cebu City), Fr. Leo Neil Casas Bullos, OAR (Banga, South Cotabato), Fr. Rafael Berganio Pecson, OAR (Jolo, Sulu), Fr. Nelson Santillan Plohimon, OAR (Kabankalan, Negros Occidental), Fr. Jerik Troy Ponferrada Siozon, OAR (Tacloban City, Leyte), Fr. John Zachary Abagon Haguisan (Sipalay City, Negros Occidental), and Fr. Lounal Estrada Jarumay, OAR (Canlaon City, Negron Oriental).
Congratulations Brothers and to the Order of the Augustinian Recollects Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno. To God be the Glory.
