ANTIPOLO CITY – Nine OAR Pre-novices showcased their talents during the culminating activity of Sojourn Theater Arts Workshop last 10th of August 2017 at the auditorium of the Camillian Sisters at Kingsville Subdivision of this city.

Sojourn is an Inter-congregational Pre-novitiate Program that provides classes and modules related to Psycho- Spiritual aspect of formation and Human Formation.

The Recollect formands performed monologue, dialogue (acting), dance and pantomime, together with other congregations and orders. Using the music, All I desire, composed by Fray Julius Marcos OAR, the pre-novices performed an interpretative dance, applying what they have learned. Br. Alfie Angeles was tasked to do the solo performance of his pantomime during the event. “This workshop will help formands to boost their self-esteem and discover their unknown self within,” he shared afterwards.

They underwent two and half days of workshop, from August 8-10. During those days they were taught the basics of acting, dancing, stage positions, projection of voice, proper postures, to convey a message through emotions—in other words, all about theatre arts.

Part of the event was a modern dance production of the sojourn formators (religious sisters and priests) and one among them was the Director of the Pre-novices Fray Roland Cepe, OAR. Present during the show were the OAR novices, Frays Panaligan and Haguisan, the members of SARF de Antipolo, and some guests.

Ever since the OAR pre-novitiate program had begun in the Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno, the OAR pre-novices consistently joined the said workshop. In fact, this group of pre-novices was the 21st batch –The Luminaries.
