San Sebastian College-Recoletos de Cavite’s (SSC-RdC) graduating Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) students Lance Daryl DR. Camacho and Justin L. Gonzales developed the Cavite Information and Communications Technology Council’s (CICTC) website. The website is part of the CICTC’s project in strengthening the IT Infrastructure in the whole Province of Cavite.
“The website contains news, events, and other information about the projects and plans of the CICTC” said Camacho. “Other information such as statistics of the employment rate of graduates residing in Cavite is also included, because of this, investors and companies may be encouraged to establish businesses in Cavite upon viewing this kind of information” added Gonzales.
Camacho and Gonzales presented the initial design of the website to the Members of the Board of the CICTC at the Information Systems Office (ISO) Conference Room, at the Provincial Capitol Building in Trece Martires City, August 15, 2017. Additional enhancements were suggested by the body before the launching of the website on September 6, 2017 during the quarterly meeting of the Convergence of Luzon ICT Champions at Summit Ridge Hotel Convention Center.
“At first, we were excited because our client for our internship is the CICTC of the Provincial Capitol, but as soon as we started developing the system, we realized that it was not an easy task, we need to study a new platform from scratch.” said Camacho. “Then during the presentation, it was really nerve wracking especially the atmosphere. Presenting in front of all these IT professionals and representatives from different institutions is really quite an experience as a student, but we are happy it turned out well.” seconded Gonzales.
