Bishop of Bacolod visits CSNT-R

Colegio San Nicolas de Tolentino-Recoletos

Talisay City, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL – “You are especially gifted and beloved… you are asked to bring this to others, that is your mission.”

Those are the resounding words of His Excellency, Most Reverend Patricio A. Buzon, SDB, DD during his visit in Colegio San Nicolas de Tolentino-Recoletos last February 27, 2019 to culminate his Pastoral Visit in Talisay City.

A welcome fit for the father of the diocese

The esteemed bishop was welcomed by the newly-organized Drum and Bugle Corps at the gates as he was ushered inside the school to join the learners in their Morning Rituals, stopping by the grotto of Our Lady to offer flowers and pausing for a short prayer. He expressed his desire to meet the learners on the first day of his visit, but due to the holidays, the schedule was pushed further. He conveyed his happiness in finally meeting the learners, and reminded them that the future depends on their education now.

He reminded the learners of their privilege of being schooled in one of the best schools and the only Catholic school in the city, which means they have better education and training. By being such, he emphasized their giftedness and therefore are empowered to live and imbibe this gift of education and Christian Formation. He called them to be true missionaries to their fellow young, to their families and to those with whom they come in contact with.
