CSFIP Participants go back to roots with Fray Quilatan

Mira Nila Homes, QUEZON CITY–The 17 participants, undergoing the Comprehensive Spiritual Formation and Immersion Program (CSFIP) for OAR Schools in the Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno went back to the Augustinian Recollect roots with Fray Emilio Quilatan, OAR. He led the participants in tracing the roots of the Augustinian Recollection Movement.

He gave a comprehensive talk on the history of the Order, which he tagged as “Augustinian Recollect Charism: Journey through History.” Fray Emilio gave lectures to the participants last May 20 and 21, 2019 at the Recoletos Formation Center, Recoletos Formation Center.

A tour to the Bulwagan Rekoleto was made to concretize the lectures last May 20. Another tour was organized to visit the Bamboo Organ of Las Piňas, which was designed and constructed by an Augustinian Recollect Priest, Padre Diego Cera. A visit was also made to Intramuros, Manila, where the participants were brought to the Intramuros Museum and the site of the San Nicolas Church, now the office of Manila Bulletin.

The program is spearheaded by the Province of St. Ezekiel Moreno, Secretariat of Apostolate (Educational Apostolate) in cooperation with the Recoletos Formation Center and the OAR Schools in the Philippines.
