STV-R hosts St. Ezekiel Book Launching

San Carlos City, NEGROS OCCIDENTAL–Two books on St. Ezekiel Diaz Moreno were launched at the Sto. Tomas de Villanueva-Recoletos Chapel last September 8, 2019.

  1. Indeed, it was my first book launch at STV-R Formation House and Colegio de Sto-Tomas Recoletos founded in 1940… the first (79-year-old now) and iconic learning institution of the Order of Augustinian Recollects in the world. It was the second book launch in my cherished hometown. The first was that of SAN CARLOS PARISH YESTERDAY AND TODAY at the Recollect-built San Carlos Borromeo Cathedral in November 1995 when Fr. Rene Paglinawan was vicar provincial and Fr. Lino Agunod prior of Recoletos de San Carlos. May I give my wholehearted thanks to the local prior Fr. Vicente Ramon, Fr. Joalve, Fr. Keneth P, Fr. R. Cabarles, Fr. Renier A, young formands, SARF headed by my sister Engr. Daying Romanillos Villanueva, Recollect Sisters of CSR, CST-R faculty, staff and students, especially Nita Bolo, Georgene Quilaton-Tambiga, Coro de San Ezequiel Moreno of Fr. Caba, CWL member Mary Ann Portuguez, her daughters Jonna & Lelette my book sellers, St. Ezekiel devotees, and of course my co-author Dr. Dennis V. Madrigal who arrived from Bacolod minutes before the Holy Mass and Book Launch. May Saint Ezekiel Moreno, a Marian devotee par excellence, model missionary for all time, who epitomized the “good missionary” of Benedict XV’s “Maximum illud” 49 years before its publication, always be the inspiration and dynamo of missionaries today and their missionary activity. Thanks to Fr. Diony Selma and Provincial Council for publishing this timely book! And likewise, of course, Fr. Tol Almayo, Fr. Butch Dosdos, Rev. Robin Plata,Tonette Salcedo and Don Bosco Press! Mabuhay ang OAR! Saint Ezekiel, pray for us always!
