USJ-R dean represents Philippines and virtually discusses Teacher Education Institutions’ Initiatives on Biodiversity
CEBU CITY–June 5 is World Environment Day. To celebrate this, SEAMEO-UNESCO organized a joint webinar for this celebration entitled “COVID-19 Effects on Biodiversity: Science Education Reimagined.”
USJ-R Dean of the College & Graduate School of Education and ESD Center Director Dr. Jestoni Babia is invited as panelist to discuss Teacher Education Institutions’ Initiatives on Biodiversity representing USJ-R and the Philippines.
The event, which gathered around 18000 pre-registered educators and interested individuals, intends to make everyone aware of science education efforts on the environment specifically on biodiversity – the theme for this year’s World Environment Day.
Some talks in the webinar also highlighted the connection and effects of the pandemic as well. This was posted live through SEAMEO’s Youtube channel at 10:00 A.M. Bangkok time (11:00 A.M. Philippine time). Here is the link to the Youtube post:
