ANTIPOLO CITY – Eight Recollect religious priests participated to Balik Noviciado last November 13-17, 2017 at St. Ezekiel Moreno Novitiate-Recoletos.
Those who attended this program were Fray Sixto Bitangjol, OAR, Fray Emilio Edgardo Quilatan, OAR, Fray Eduardo Celiz, Jr, OAR, Fray Joel Naranja, OAR, Fray Antonio Limchaypo, OAR, Fray Urbano Galanido, OAR, Fray Joel Dequilla, OAR, and Fray Reynaldo Jaranilla, OAR.
They spent five days in the SEMoNoRe:
November 13 – Fr. Noel Deslate delivered the talk – “Life Transitions.” They Joined the Closing Mass of the year of holiness at Our Lady of Consolation Parish, Mira Nila Homes, Quezon City.
November 14 – “Contemporary Challenges in Living out the Vows: Augustinian Recollect Perspective” was given by Fray James Castelo, OAR.
November 15 – They visited the several Churches in the Diocese of Antipolo – Visita Iglesia.
November 16 – Fr. Bernard Holzer, AA gave the topic “On Augustinian Family Evangelization and Mission in Asia Pacific: Perspective and Collaboration.” In the afternoon they planted trees within the seminary vicinity. They also played basketball and Badminton together with the Novices and their Formators. A speacial time was given to the six OAR Novices after the dinner to encounter and ask querries about religious life to the participants.
November 17 – A formation session was given by Fray Lauro V. Larlar, OAR about the “Augustinian Recollect Distinctive Character. Together with Novices and their formators the partcipants had their boodle fight for their lunch. In the evening they concelebrated on the Feast of Nuestra Señora de la Salud in St. Nicholas de Tolentino Parish, Quezon City, which mars the culmination of this year’s BALIK NOVICIADO.
