The University of Negros Occidental –Recoletos joins in the celebration of the Philippine Arts’ month. Believing that art is an expression of one’s vision of the environment, the university sponsored the art exhibition of Larry Guillema, a local but internationally known artist and a member of the Dihon Dibuhista  mga nagahili-ugyon sa Negros art group.  His exhibits will run from February 11 to 20, 2016 at the Museo Rekoleto de Negros.  His art medium are terra cotta for sculpture and acrylic and oil for paintings.

The Campus Ministry Office held its annual faculty Recollection, February 11 and 12, 2016 at the Our Lady’s Hill Center of Spirituality.  Rev. Fr. Lauro Larlar, OAR, member of “Team Servant of Prayer” and  Rector of the Recoletos Formation Center in Quezon City, was the Speaker and spoke on “Augustinian Recollect Spirituality Exercises (ARSE)”.   Fr. Larlar shared these three points for the recollections:  an invitation for all to desire the joy that comes from the experience of being “encountered by God”;  a journey in search of paths that lead to joy as a gift of the Spirit ( Joy of the Gospel); and a hope to experience the company of the Loving and Merciful God (Year of Mercy) by providing participants with Augustinian experiences of Interior life (prayer), discernment, and spiritual accompaniment.
